Muay Thai, which translates to Thai boxing, is known as the art of eight limbs. Muay Thai is a system of combat that is more than 4 centuries old. During ancient times, the Thai people developed the art of Muay Thai into a combative system. With the utilization of hands, knees, elbows and shins, the Thai people were able to ward off enemies from other countries.
Today Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and is practiced throughout the world. Everyone from the aspiring Mixed Martial Artist to the everyday professional can enjoy the benefits of this exciting sport. Because of its popularity, more and more people are starting to recognize Muay Thai not only as a means of practical defense, but a great way to get in shape and burn off some stress. During our training sessions, heavy bags and various training pads are used to help students gauge the effectives of their power, speed, endurance, and most of all technique and form.
TIGER’s Muay Thai Total Training also incorporates strength and conditioning concepts. Students will find classes, fun, safe and inspiring. Although traditional Muay Thai does not have a rank system, we have developed one so students can track their progress. Students also have the opportunity to compete if they so desire. If you are looking for a way to get in the best shape of your life while having fun, then Muay Thai Total Training is for you!
